A whole new world – a dazzling place we never knew.
AUSCRS 2023 in Port Douglas was, as Tina Turner would say, Simply the Best!
There is always an unknown when there is the changing of the guard and we wanted to continue and build on the legacy that Graham and Rick left.
Records were broken again with the most sponsors, most abstracts and most importantly most attendees at the Gala dinner! An indication that we are off to a good start.
We had a stellar line up of international speakers, all of whom want to come back again. But most pleasing for us, were the number of new faces. Experiencing AUSCRS for the first time is a unique experience. It’s exchange of knowledge with more than a tincture of fun. There is no hierarchy between Professors and Registrars in the discussions. Let’s face it when you are dressed as a cupcake or a mummy, its hard to pull rank.
We also had a number of comments that it was the strongest meeting from a scientific point of view and that will always be the most important foundation of the meeting.

Next year AUSCRS will be on Hamilton Island- a fantastic venue. We know all our old friends will be coming back but we welcome everyone who wants to learn from the best in the world, share their own wisdom and at the same time have a bit of fun on a beautiful island.
